I just received a phone-in report from a D&H customer about his fishing yesterday on the Elkhorn Creek in Kentucky.
The water was super clear and cool. There was a large amount of moss floating down the stream and every cast he had to clean off his weighted streamers. He switched to a non-weighted wooly bugger and started to get results. The thing that surprised him the most was that he caught most of his fish and the best in unlikely spots. He said the slower moving water that he never even looks at was the place to fish flies yesterday.
He caught a nice bass with a really large crayfish in its mouth.
The customer believed that the cool water changed how the creek was fishing and so he changed too.
