Bahamas Trip Report

I returned from the Bahamas Saturday night and can't say enough about the fishing, the lodge and the guides!  We flew into Nassau last Sunday and were at the lodge by 4pm after taking a small prop plane from Nassau to Fresh Creek, Andros.  The rooms were great and I couldn't wait to be on the flats the next day.  We fished for bones and got shots at tarpon, barracuda and sharks as well.  One my first day I had the privilege to hook into two tarpon over 100 lbs, but unfortunately the battles didn't last long before my hooks straightened out.  D&H will be running trips down to the Andros Island Bonefish club every March and are even talking about starting a November trip as well!

Barracuda are all over the flats

The Lodge is set up great with a nice outdoor bar right on the water to hangout after fishing, drink
Kalik and even smoke some Cuban if you choose!
They re-did the rooms since the last time I was there and they look great!

Since the lodge faces east, watching the sunrise every morning was quite the view!!

Tony is hooked up!

I was able to test some new T&T rods and they were great.  We will be getting the T&T solar into the shop shortly.

Notice the gotcha size in this bones mouth; the bigger the better!

The food at the lodge is unreal! This grouper was speared two hours before the meal; doesn't get any fresher than that!!
Fresh lobster tail

If you didn't fish enough during the day, you could throw out some chum and 10 minutes later you would have bull and lemon shark outside the front of the lodge!  These are a blast to catch and definitely get the adrenaline pumping!
