Briarwood Fly Fishing Weekend

Briarwood Fishing Weekend
June 7&8, 2014
Briarwood Sporting Club
Briarwood is one of the premiere private sporting clubs in our region. Consisting of 500 acres, 16 warm water ponds and lakes, and 4 artificial trout streams, there is plenty to explore and tons of fish to catch. Some of the larger lakes also feature trolling motor equipped boats for guest use.
This is a non-instructional trip. D&H hosts will fish right along with you and if you ask or we notice something we will be more than happy to help you with casting, knots, handling fish, or any other questions you might have. If you would like to see some photo’s from previous trips to Briarwood, you can look here Briarwood Photo Gallery.
Schedule
We will arrive Saturday morning at noon and begin fishing right away. You will have the choice of fishing trout, small pond bass, or big lake bass. I will make an early dinner on Saturday and we should have time to fish that evening if you desire. After fishing, you can relax on the deck of the lodge, have a cold beverage and enjoy the company of other fishermen. We will get an early start Sunday morning. I will put together a quick breakfast and then we can fish until lunch. After lunch you can continue to fish if you want.
Lodging
We will be using a larger, more accommodating lodge this year. Rainbow Lake Lodge contains seven private bedrooms, three full bathrooms and sleeps twelve. The lodge contains modern kitchen facilities, a breakfast bar and a very large sunken fire place. Each lodge at Briarwood has a large wooden deck complete with an outdoor grill. These spots will fill up fast.
Pricing
The cost for the weekend is $275.00. I will provide all food and non-alcoholic beverages. The price is based on double occupancy rooms. There will be two D&H hosts to help make this a memorable and enjoyable weekend. Trout can be kept for approximately $5.00 a pound. Please bring spare cash if you intend to keep any trout.

Please contact Luke at the store if you have any more questions or would like to reserve a spot. Luke can be reached at 513-871-3474 or at shop@bestgear.com
