Weekend Hunting

Now that Christmas has passed I can get outside and do some of the things I really enjoy doing again. This time of year is a great time for me to hunt with my dad on weekends. This weekend we planned to do a combo deer/pheasant hunt at his hunt club. This weekend was part of Ohio's primitive gun season for deer.
The temp's were a bit crisp but pretty bearable as deer hunting goes. We ended up getting a pretty late start so deer hunting became more of a novelty.

A little of this started the morning.

Deer were really spooky and with us getting into the woods late, no shots were taken. Now it was on to bird hunting.

Birds were a bid hard to come by but our German Wirehaired Pointer found us a few roudy roosters. All in all it was a great day to be outside doing what I love.

Fly-tying material anyone?

Dad and his dog.
Just a reminder that D&H still has opening for our winter bird hunts at Shag's run. We will hunt Quail and Pheasant. The farm is in great shape with tons of good looking cover. If you have nay questions I will be happy to answer them. Next hunt is January 12, we would love to have you along.
