Small Stream Fishing

Alexander and I have been taking some time to hit some of our local small streams. These have generally been short trips but they are fairly satisfying.

We each managed to pick up a few smaller fish but each time we saw bigger fish. We didn't have much luck with topwater flies. We spent most of the time throwing clousers, buggers, and other buggy looking flies.
Despite all the other rivers we have fished and the big fish we have landed, we both agreed this was just plain fun. Spring is a great time to get out and try some of the local small streams. These are great places to work on the basics of fly casting and fly fishing and if you have kids that want to tag along this is great water for them.
Alex schooled me again.

If you need some suggestions on a few small streams around Cincinnati, give us a call or stop by the shop.
