First Upland Hunt of the Year! November 23rd

   Break out your Filson and Side by Side... It's Bird Season!!    
   
 We will be hosting our first Upland hunt of the year on November 23rd. Please join us as we have a blast working the hills and hollers of Billy Gerwins' Shags Run hunt club.

We will have a total of five hunts:

November 23

December15

January 18

Feburary 8

March 16

  If these dates do not work for your schedule or situation, we would be happy to help you plan a private hunt.


         Those of you who have shot doves with us the last few years are pretty familiar with this property.  I can assure you it is even better for upland hunts.  Billy does a great job providing cover for the Pheasant, Quail, and Chukar.  The birds fly very well and his dogs are some of the best in the region.

      We begin the day around 8:30 with a bit of hot coffee and snacks in the hunting shack before Billy and the other guides trailer us and his English Setters out to the fields.  We will hunt hard for 4-5 hours, depending on how many birds we connect with.  Hunting is followed by a hearty lunch while your guides clean birds and prepare them for the trip back to Cincinnati.
          These birds are good fliers. Their strength and speed combined with the the farm's unique topography make for some challenging shooting. The farm is located just about an hour from Cincinnati.
