Local Trout Update

          Got out with my buddy Lou a few days ago to do a trout float. Turned out to be one heck of a day.

26" Jumbo Brown

          We put a beating on the big boys and girls. The star fish of the day were 21", 24", 25", and a 26".... unreal. When targeting the big fish make sure to use heavy tippet because there will likely be logs around and they pull HARD. The 26" put the largest bend into my 5 weight Radian I have ever had.. even stronger than a 12+ striper.

          We were fishing 6wts for streamers and 5wts with our nymph rigs. 0X-2X fluoro tippets were a must. Larger nymphs like stones, caddis, and worm patterns produced well.
